Arkansas District Meet Results Posted

 | The results for the Arkansas District Qualifying Meet
have been posted. Thanks to all the
athletes, volunteers and coaches for their support of a successful
district meet in Conway. The board would also like to thank the
Conway Schools for the use of the Conway High School Track Facility.

 | Posting of the results initiates a 24 hour period where
any challenge of the official results must be filed with the district
chair Larry Bryant. Please
contact him before 10:00 pm Sunday June 13th if you believe that there are
any errors in the official results. Please include the athlete's
name, division, event and the content of the challenge in your
communication. |
District Qualifying Meet Seeded
Pass-throughs identified
(June 10th, 2010)
 | The following age group events will pass through to the
finals on Saturday. Athletes entered in these events do not have to
report for their Friday 6/11/10 preliminary event (all other divisions
must report 6/11/10 to qualify for Saturday's finals):
100 Meter - SBB, SMB, SYB, YB, YW
200 Meter - SBG, SBB, BB, SMB, YB

 | The 400 Meter Sprint will be run as a timed final on
Saturday for all divisions. There will be no 400 Meter prelims.
|
 | Due to the low number of entries the Pole Vault Event
will not be offered at the District Qualifying Meet. Competitors
will pass through to the National Qualifier Meet (NQM). Please email
Coach Bryant with your name,
division and the NQM attending. |
PCS Meet Results Posted

Meet results for the PCS Meet
held Saturday May 29th have been posted.
Congratulations to all the teams and athletes that competed. Meet
registration included 361 athletes which is one of the largest practice
meets in recent history. Please thank Coaches Martin and Kathy
Richards for all their hard work.
First Meet of 2010 hosts 246 Athletes
(May 9th, 2010)
Saturday's practice meet at Scott Field, the earliest meet
in several years, boasted a registration of 246 athletes. The state
board would like to thank all the athletes and volunteers that helped make
Saturday's meet a success. Results of the
competition have been posted.

The 2010 Practice and District Meets are enabled on CoachO.
Clubs and Unattached Athletics
registered with AAU may now go the
2010 schedule for the registration links.
Notes from 3-6-10 Board Meeting
(March 13th, 2010)
Several noteworthy items were identified by the AAU AR
Athletics Board at the 3-6-10 meeting. These include:
 | Hosting clubs must use a
responsibility matrix for their meets. This is to be reviewed by
the board and available to board members.

 | A deadline of 4/15/10 has been set for the sanctioning
of all 2010 meets.
|
 | The Area 11
Website is being populated with lots of pertinent information on the
National Qualifying Meets. Be sure to check it out.
|
 | Clubs and Coaches need to obtain their AAU Memberships
from http://aausports.org BEFORE any
official practices begin.
|
 | The 2010 District Qualifying Meet (DQM) will feature
Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) for the first time. An increase in DQM
registration fees to $15 (early registration) has been approved to pay for
the costs related to timing.

 | The Fine Design Tee-shirt bid was approved for the 2010
District Qualifying Meet. |
2010 Track Schedule Posted

 | The Athletics Board has approved the
2010 meet schedule. As
additional details on the meets and registrations are provided the
schedule will be updated to include these details. |
National Qualifier Program Document
Issued
(November 12th, 2009)
 | The National
AAU Qualifier Program Document has been issued by the National Office.
It details the requirements at the District Level for advancement to the
National Qualifying Meets and to the AAU Junior Olympics.

 | Additionally a
National Qualifying Meet Bid Program Document was issued outlining bid
packet input requirements for hosting on of the 2010 National Qualifying
Meets. Bids are now being taken for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. |

the district qualifying meet held at Scott Field on 6/19 and 6/20/09.
Please note that pass through marks were entered for seeding the finals.
Seed times were used when available; when not available a time slower than
the slowest seed was used.

FSTC/Elite/NLR Meet Results posted

 | We'd like to thank the West Memphis Wolfpack for
joining us in NLR at yesterday's meet. Meet
results have been posted .

 | Special thanks to those clubs and individuals that
"stepped up" and filled in where needed at yesterday's meet. Next
time you see Martin Richards from the Port City SPEED thank him for
starting all day long, and doing so with a cheerful heart. Thanks

 | Results have been posted for
the district qualifying meet held at Scott Field on 6/5 and 6/6/09.
Please note that pass through marks were entered for seeding the finals.
Seed times were used when available; when not available a time slower than
the slowest seed was used.

 | Awards were processed and handed out to unattached
athletes and team coaches following the conclusion of the meet. Due
to a shortage of 1st place medals and 4th place ribbons some of the late
Saturday event awards were unavailable. These awards will be
available the District Qualifying meet on 6/19-6/20/09 at Scott Field.
We apologize to those athletes that failed to receive their awards. |

CCTC Meet Results Posted

 | Saturday's practice meet at Scott Field involved over
380 athletes. Congratulations to all who participated and a special
thanks to those volunteers that made it happen. Be sure to give
