attending the Region VIII meet have been removed from the database
allowing additional qualifying athletes to participate. To determine
if an athlete was submitted for participation in the Region VIII meet,

are complete for the district meet and there are 455 athletes registered.
This list was downloaded directly from the athletes registered in CoachO.
With the exception of any scratches that are made these are the athletes
that will compete for a position in the Region VIII Meet in Joplin, MO on
6/26 - 6/27/08.

| The following age group events will pass through to the
finals on Saturday. Athletes entered in these events do not have to
report for their Friday preliminary event:
100 Meter - SBB, BB, MB, SYB, YG, YW
200 Meter - SBB, BB, SMG, SMB, MB, SYB, YW
400 Meter - SYB, YG, YB, YW

will be run as timed finals on Saturday. |
2008 Practice Meets Complete and Results

| The results for all of the 2008 practice meets are
posted. Coaches are reminded that seed times determine lane
placement. Seed times should be taken from the posted results and
input into CoachO.

| Refer to the 2008
Schedule for registration deadlines. Entering seed times for a
registered athlete will not constitute a late entry provided that the
number of registered athletes remains the same after the early
registration cut-off.

| The meet will be seeded Wednesday afternoon and
pass-through events (to finals) will be posted online. |
News from 2/17/08 AAU Athletics Meeting

District Bylaws
are approved.

| Region VIII and Junior Olympic Games Dates, schedules
and venues are set.

been established and meets set by the executive committee for the 2008
practice and district championships. Venues to be determined soon. |

Coaches,
We have scheduled our next planning meeting for Saturday March 8th 3PM-5PM
at the Sherwood location. As always, I will send out a meeting agenda
prior to that date. If there are any issues you wish to place on the
agenda, you can email me no later than the 6th. You will need to proceed
on in registering your club and coaches if this has not already been done.
On a separate note, please join me in congratulating the following 3
individuals for their nomination and selection to our AR AAU Executive
committee. They will be serving a 2 year term.
Vice Chairman- Coach Willie Morris
Treasury- Coach Mark Harris
Secretary- Coach Lottie Brooks-Keaton
All three of these officers have made many contributions and sacrifices in
the past in helping us to have a top notch organization for our youths. I
am confident that they will continue to make many more contributions in
assisting me in providing leadership to our clubs, coaches, athletes and
parents. |

| The 2007 AR District Results
are available in team summary, final results, and full results formats.
These results will differ slightly from the qualification results due to
the deletion of qualifying athletes that have indicated they will not
attend the Region VIII meet.

| Competitor numbers have been assigned for the 2007 District Meet.
Please review your athletes and inventory your bibs. Bib numbers
assigned to teams beyond those already issued will be placed in your
registration packets. Replacement bib numbers are $5/each and can be
purchased at the registration desk. |
CCTC Meet Results
(June 9th, 2007)
| The results are posted for
today's meet. Over 320 athletes participated in CCTC's meet and most
events were completed on time. Good job Christian Competition! |
CCTC Meet Updates
(June 3rd, 2007)
| The Javelin Throw will be contested at CCTC's meet on
06/09/07 and will be available for the Sub-Youth through Young Men /
Women's divisions. There will be no Turbo Javelin. Contact the
meet director (Coach Morris) for
additional information.

Afternoon Rain Shortens NCAE_FSTC Meet

| Though the field events were mostly completed an
afternoon thunderstorm forced a 45 minute delay and subsequent calling of
the NCAE_FSTC meet. The running results were completed up to the 200
meter hurdles and results from the 6/2/07 meet in
Conway are
online. |
NLR_PCS Meet Results Available.
(May 27th, 2007)
| Results from the 5/27/07 meet in NLR are now
online. Field events
and running events are available
in separate reports. A
meet summary report showing results by team with seed times has also
been posted.

| Approximately 300 athletes competed in yesterday's
meet. I'd like to give a special thanks to
Stephanie Smith and Mildred Hamilton
for compiling all of the results and entering them into the database so
that they may be posted on the web. Their dedication to "getting the
job done" and their teamwork set a standard for all of us to follow. |
CCTC Meet Field Event Results Available.

boys and

are now available. Thanks to Coach Morris for forwarding them. |
CCTC Meet Running Results Available.
(May 20th, 2007)
| Results from the 5/19/07 running events are now being
made available online. Two formats are available, one by
team/athlete and the
other by event.
The team athlete report is recommended for entering seed times for next
weeks meet.

| It is acknowledged that the results are not perfect.
Help us improve next week's results by completing your Direct Athletics
registration early and having a second pair of eyes review the event
entries.

| The first meeting of 2007 was held in NLR on January
27th. The State Chair Larry Bryant Recapped last season and the
board and club coaches started making plans for the 2007 season. The
next meeting will be held Saturday February 17th, 2007. Club coaches
or parents of unattached athletes that are interested in attending may
email Chairman Bryant or
Coach Willie Morris for time
and directions. |
